Why am I doing this? Fair Trade t-shirts!
Why is finding Fair Trade t-shirts so hard? I’d noticed some plain ones in a fashion catalogue and really wanted one with a cool design. But after hours of surfing, I still wasn’t sure that I had seen everything that was out there, and I hadn’t found a design that had really caught my eye. Along the way, I had completely confused myself as to what was Fairtrade, Fair Trade, Fairly Traded, Ethically Traded, etc, etc…
To save you hours running round the internet and the ethical labyrinth, I think it’s time to create a single, searchable, illustrated directory of every Fair Trade product out there.
To do this, I have taken up the Get Certified challenge to live a 100% Fair Trade certified life. I’ll be ensuring that everything I buy from now on will be Fair Trade if it can be. And I’ll post the results of my exploits and build up the directory.
It’s going to be lots of fun and I’m going to need your help… Let’s make Life Fair together.
So, can it be done? What are your views?

Looks great, Paul!
Looking forward to hearing how you get on with the challenge.

Hi Jen,
Those tee shirts are pretty cool!
It’s great to see important causes come together in this way.
I’ll definitely add them to the directory and keep an eye on their designs.

Hi Catherine and Peter,
Thanks for the votes of support.
I’ll be adding some more updates very soon.
The lack of decent Fairtrade t-shirt designs is exactly the reason I started our t shirt website. We take designs from the public and get them to vote on the ones they like and then print them. Our first “Tree Huggin” tee has just been released!
Come and have a look (oh and please excuse the blatant plugging…).
